Cookie & Tracking Policy

Effective Date: September 16, 2026
Last Updated: September 16, 2026

We do not use cookies

ShoBiz (VaultWiz LLC) does not set cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels on our website, cross-site trackers, or third-party advertising networks.

What we do use is browser storage — localStorage and sessionStorage — which keeps a small amount of data on your own device. Unlike cookies, this data is never automatically transmitted with your requests. It stays in your browser until it is used by the site or cleared.

This policy lists everything we store, and it is written to be checkable: open your browser's developer tools and you will find these items and nothing else.

1. Strictly Necessary Storage

These items are required for the site to work. They are used only to deliver the service you asked for, and no consent is required for them.

What we store

Why

token

Your signed-in session. Without it you cannot stay logged in.

sessionUser

Basic account details so the interface can render without a round trip on every page.

Interface preferences

Your chosen view (cards vs table), panel widths, collapsed sections, active tab, saved filters, and similar. Purely cosmetic, and specific to your browser.

cs_language

The language you selected on a page that offers a language switcher.

These never leave your device except where they are part of an ordinary request you initiate, such as your session token authenticating an API call.

2. Analytics Storage — Consent Required

There is exactly one non-essential item.

What we store

Why

_cs_vid

A random identifier, such as v_k3j8xf2a1b9c, so that repeat visits to a public page can be counted as one visitor rather than several.

_cs_sid

A random per-session identifier, cleared when you close the tab.

What this identifier is not: it is not your name, email, or account. It is not shared with anyone, sold, or combined with data from other sites. It exists so a page view count is meaningful.

We ask before storing it. The first time you visit a public page you will see a banner offering Allow or Decline, given equal prominence. If you decline, or simply do not choose:

  • The identifier is never created

  • No analytics request is sent at all — we do not record an anonymous hit instead

  • Any identifier stored previously is deleted

Changing your mind

To withdraw consent, clear this site's data in your browser (Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cookies and site data), which removes both your decision and the identifier. The banner will ask again on your next visit.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and similar opt-out signals. We do not sell or share personal information in any case.

3. Third-Party Content

Some pages embed content from other companies. When that content loads, the third party may set its own cookies, and we cannot see or control them. This happens only on pages where such content is present:

Provider

When it appears

YouTube

A page with an embedded video

Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, NMI, Clover)

Checkout and payment pages

Zoom

Where a meeting or recording is embedded

Google Maps

Where a map is displayed

Each provider's own privacy policy governs what it sets. If you want to avoid these entirely, avoid pages carrying that content or use your browser's third-party cookie blocking.

4. Server-Side Logs

Separately from browser storage, our servers keep ordinary logs of requests — IP address, time, page requested, browser and operating system — for security, abuse prevention, and diagnostics. This is standard for any web service and is not tracking in the advertising sense. Retention is covered in the Privacy Policy.

5. Email Tracking

This is not browser storage, but you should know about it: our marketing email contains open and click tracking, using a tracking pixel and redirect links, so we can measure engagement. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Transactional email about your account is not used for marketing measurement.

6. Do Not Track

There is no agreed industry standard for how sites should respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, so we do not respond to DNT specifically. We do honor Global Privacy Control, and in any case we do not sell or share personal information or run cross-site advertising.

7. Changes

We will revise the "Last Updated" date above when this policy changes. If we ever begin using cookies or add a new category of tracking, we will update this page and ask for consent where it is required.
